Sopot had a few national players who caused us trouble early on with their pace, especially off the back of the scrum to score first. But we stuck to our structure, stayed composed, and gradually took control, grinding them down to finish with a comfortable win.

Exiles P18 — Allsvenskan and Triple Crown Champions! 🏆🏆🏆

A hard-fought game against a talented and well-drilled Malmo P18.

We started on the back foot, with Malmo clinical in capitalising on every mistake, opening the scoring through a driving maul and soon after adding a penalty. Undeterred, and with the wind against us, we found our rhythm, striking back and scoring the first time we entered their 22.

Our scrum dominance turned the tide, and we built steadily, taking the lead and staying composed despite a disallowed try.

With the wind behind us in the second half, we extended our lead and emptied the bench, giving every player a chance to play in the final. Every finisher came on and added energy and power, allowing us to finish the game on the front foot — dominating Malmo to the end. Credit to Malmo, who never gave up and fought until the final whistle.

The team showed what true brotherhood means: working for each other, no complaints, no panic when behind — just full commitment to our standards and performance.

A massive thanks to everyone who has supported the team, management, and coaches throughout the year.

Solid win for P18 ahead of our final this Saturday against Malmo.

Quicker ruck speed and harder running put us on the front foot early, with a great cross-kick from our 10 setting up the opening try.

We still need to tighten up on discipline and cut down the penalty count, but overall it was a strong performance and an ideal penultimate match before the final.

Credit to Hammarlund, who showed real fight and spirit right to the end despite having no reserves, they gave us a proper test.

We were unlucky to have a concussion during the game. Concussion protocol guidelines, along with World Rugby guidance for coaches, parents, and players, have been uploaded to svenskalag (P18 Dokument) for everyone to follow.

Gold at USM for Exiles P18

A hard-fought USM ended with a well-earned gold medal for the Exiles P18! What a fantastic squad of players, each one giving everything for the team. No complaints, no excuses, only commitment to each other.

The depth and strength of the squad allowed us to keep the tempo high from start to finish, with everyone giving their all. Early mornings and late matches weren’t ideal, but the players stuck to the plan and delivered the wins.

The narrow penalty loss to Malmö (our first and only defeat of the season) was taken as a wake-up call. It galvanised the team for the final, where they stepped up a gear, fixed the set piece, and took the game to Malmö. Despite injuries and sore bodies, we ground them down – turning a tense first half into a dominant second, capped with a try to seal victory.

Well done, team!

Special thanks to Marie for her help with the squad, to Colm for capturing brilliant photos, and above all to our manager Karl, who created an exceptional off-field environment where the players could rest, eat, and recharge between matches.

Excellent last game before USM. We were missing five forwards (all jumpers) and a couple of other key players, but it was still a great performance. Even playing 12-a-side, we kept our shape and worked until the final whistle.

Much better discipline. Credit to URK – they played well, looked improved, and came out fighting, scoring first inside four minutes. But we stuck in, found our rhythm, and took control of the game.

We need to start stronger at USM. Let’s keep the momentum going – full attendance at training this week is key.
